We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer:

We’re looking for a curious and collaborative Frontend Developer who enjoys building things from scratch, working across teams, and solving real-world problems.

This is a frontend-focused role (React, TypeScript, Next.js), but backend awareness is appreciated. You’ll be joining a small, tight-knit team at a key moment- as one of our first front-end developers, you’ll play a vital role in shaping how we scale both our products and our frontend team.

We're kicking off major initiatives, starting with our Health Care Portal for Professionals and the build of a new Welfare Portal from scratch to replace our legacy system. Our frontend applications help health personnel by enabling digital supervision, saving time, and freeing up more capacity for actual care.

You’ll need to be proactive, product-minded, and comfortable navigating evolving priorities in close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

The position is based at Sensio’s headquarters in Oslo, Norway. We have a flexible hybrid work model and most of us are in the office around three days a week.

What you’ll do as a Frontend Developer at Sensio:

• Develop Web Applications: Design, implement, and maintain web applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Git, with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Work on Key Platforms: Build new features and maintain existing ones in our healthcare and welfare portal, such as digital supervision, real-time alarm overview, and visualising data in charts.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality, user-centric applications.
• Build Scalable Solutions: Apply your experience with large-scale applications and distributed systems to create sustainable, maintainable solutions for complex healthcare challenges.

What we’re looking for:

• Solid experience building web applications from scratch, with a deep understanding of React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience with large-scale applications and a strong understanding of high availability, system architecture, and performance optimization
• Prior experience building real-time functionality using WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), or similar protocols.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and prior experience using various observability tools such as New Relic, Application Insights, and similar platforms for monitoring, tracing, and performance analysis
• A strong sense of ownership, with the ability to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions independently.
• A product-focused mindset and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and team needs.
• Experience collaborating across functions and navigating different stakeholder expectations and perspectives.

It’s also nice if…

• You’ve worked with Playwright or other end-to-end testing tools.
• You have experience with Azure or similar cloud platforms.
