RoomMate is a revolutionary safety sensor that detects and reduces falls using advanced algorithms. In addition, the sensor can be used for digital supervision and passive notification in case of dangerous situations. Both hardware and software are developed in-house by the RoomMate team.
About the role
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer who is product-driven, takes ownership, thinks big, and makes a real impact. You’ll be at the core of our product development, working on embedded software that powers the RoomMate sensor. In addition, you’ll have the freedom to take lead and drive innovation forward.
The working location is RoomMate’s offices at Hamangskogen 60, Sandvika, with the option of occasionally working from Sensio’s main office in central Oslo.
What you'll be doing
- Developing embedded software in C++.
- Collaborating with a world-class team of engineers, designers, and product managers to define and shape RoomMate’s evolution.
- Mentoring and supporting others, by fostering an environment of knowledge-sharing and continuous learning within the team.
- Taking ownership of complex problems, driving solutions with autonomy.
- Contributing to product discovery, ensuring we build the right solutions for real-world healthcare challenges.
What we're looking for
- Expertise in C++ with a solid background in embedded software development on Linux.
- Ownership mindset- You anticipate challenges, take initiative, and drive solutions forward.
- A team player- You thrive in a team environment, sharing knowledge and growing together.
- A product-orientated thinker- You think beyond code and understand how technology impacts the end user.
- Fluent in English (Norwegian is a plus, or a willingness to learn).
In addition, it's nice if you have one of the following
- Knowledge of communication technologies such as TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, mobile, or Bluetooth.
- Experience with Embedded Linux (Yocto).
- Understanding of hardware development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing.
- Experience in signal processing, ML or AI.
